How many countries are afeccted by landmines?

Many countries in Africa and the Middle East have hidden landmines from wars. Children and others are hurt each day when they discover a landmine. There are 110 million active landmines in 70 countries and another 110 million in stockpiles. Over 2000 people a month are killed or maimed by a landmine. That is one every 20 minutes. So, while you are reading this someone has been hurt by a landmine.
