How do you tell if my muffins are done?

To check if your muffins are done, insert a toothpick or cake tester into the center of one; it should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs, but no wet batter. Additionally, the muffins should be golden brown on top and spring back when gently pressed. If they are still wet or too soft, give them a few more minutes in the oven, checking frequently.
