Answer

To help people who can't eat get proteins and carbohydrates. In Ghana we call it drip. Answer

There are different reasons why some people have to be fed intravenously, but most commonly it is when they are physically unable to eat. They may be unable to breathe properly without a ventilator, be unconscious or in a coma. A difficulty in the digestive system would also require a person to be fed through an IV.
