Is plastic a better insulator than cardboard and why?

PROS

1. plastic is invincible so it can never break unless you add heat

2.if you had a plastic door with a fan in your room your room would be cold

3. plastic will always be a convection type

CONS

1 Plastic will break if it is to cold or too hot

2.might freeze

3has small holes in it so heat will travel right through
