How a cellular telephone call is made?

A mobile phone is a transmitter and receiver that both work at the same time. There are also 'cell' towers placed less than 10 miles apart to receive the signal from the mobile phone, and to send out signal to the phone. When a call is made, the phone number is transmitted from the mobile phone to the cell tower, which connects the signal to regular telephone lines. When the person on the other end answers, their voice is transmitted from the cell tower to the mobile phone, and whatever is said on the mobile phone is transmitted to the cell tower and then over telephone wires to the person on a regular phone.
