1986 xj6 jaguar cruiser control not working any idea?

The vacuum servo in the engine bay is usually the cause, the seal on this item, which looks like a round Accordion, is leaking. To fix, put a plastic tie around each end so that the rubber is held snug to the two end plates.

If a leak was the issue this will fix it.
