Where does Diane lane live?

Diane Lane and her husband, actor Josh Brolin, live on a ranch north of Los Angeles, just outside of San Luis Obispo, in Templeton, California.

Reports state both Templeton and San Luis Obispo as the location of the ranch, but since Templeton and San Luis Obispo are only approximately 22 miles apart, it is likely that the couple actually lives in Templeton, which would be considered to be just outside of San Luis Obispo, and north of Los Angeles.
