How do you replace a radiator on a 2002 Hyundai Elantra?

1. Disconnect negative battery cable

2. Drain the cooling system. The drain cock valve is located at the lower right rear corner.

3. Remove the air duct and air filter.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the radiator cooling fan. On model with A/C disconnect the condenser cooling fan connector.

5. Loosen the hose clamps and then detach the upper and lower hoses from radiator. Disconnect the reservoir hose from the radiator filler neck

6. If equipped with an automatic disconnect the fluid cooler lines from bottom of the radiator.

7. Remove the radiator mounting bolts and brackets.

8. Carefully lift out the radiator and cooling fans as a single assembly.

9. Separate the cooling fans from the radiator.
