How do you tell your parents you want to act?

Hello, well, I know this is hard. I know people that have had to do this to, because me and all my friends and performing arts freaks. Your parents probably want you to own a business, or become a lawyer or accountant, but acting is amazing and opens up your life to so many outstanding opportunities, if you can act and do it well, there is nothing to be worried about. Convince them you have a successful backup plan, give them the reasons why you know you can do this, explain all the advantages to this career choice. When your parents tell you it's a tough industry, possibly the most difficult to be successful in, tell this is the only thing you want to do, and you know you can get there.
