Could a 9 year old shoot 30-30 rifle?

Absolutely IF you think he is physically big enough to hold and handle the recoil and if you have explained EXACTLY what its capable of doing. I didn't get to hunt with one till 13 but its you child so if you think the maturity level is there go for it. Its a special moment to share when going from a 22 to an adult size gun.
