How much does it cost for an airline ticket?

It depends on a number of factors. These include:

1. The class of travel - first/economy comfort/economy, business etc.

2. The time of year - February is a cheaper month in the northern hemisphere. June, July and August are more expensive.

3. What points you are flying between. London Heathrow to Sydney Australia would be much more expensive than Sydney to Melbourne for example.

4. How soon to the date of travel you book the ticket. Last minute tickets are usually much more expensive than one booked 3 months in advance.
