Who liberated Denmark in World War 2?

In 1940, Denmark was being led by State Minister Thorvald Stauning. Stauning held office from April of 1929 to May of 1942. He was preceded by Thomas Madsen-Mygdal, and followed by Vilhelm Buhl.
