Does the NHL need more black players?

As with many other people around the world, few people have the opportunity, ambition, or finances, to play the sport. Many schools don't have good tennis programs, and some families can't afford private lessons. The ascent of players such as the Williams sisters (who grew up in the poor section of Compton, California, and were taught tennis by their father), French player Gael Monfils, and others, proves that tennis is a multi-cultural sport.
