Who found AZ?

Arizona was primarily inhabited by Native American tribes long before European explorers arrived. The first European to explore the area was Spanish conquistador Marcos de Niza in 1539. The territory became part of the United States after the Mexican-American War and was officially designated as a territory in 1863. Arizona achieved statehood on February 14, 1912.
