When to harvest male pot plants?

Male cannabis plants are typically harvested when they begin to show mature pollen sacs, which usually occurs just before they release pollen, around 6 to 8 weeks into the flowering stage. It's crucial to harvest them before they start to release pollen to prevent fertilizing female plants if you're cultivating both sexes. If your goal is to collect pollen for breeding, you can harvest the male plants when the sacs are fully developed but before they burst. Otherwise, if you’re growing primarily for female plants, you may choose to remove male plants earlier to avoid any unwanted pollination.
