What are the pros and cons of planting bermuda grass for a lawn as compared to other grass varities?

Bermuda grass is generally easier to maintain in areas of drought and extreme heat.. It is great for turfs for sports fields and areas of heavy traffic. The cons are that it turns brown quickly with a drop in temperature, doesn't tolerate shade well and grows/overgrows quickly.
