The hierarchy of the people was based on the Roman Empire. There was a royal class, multiple middle classes, and slavery. People in general had many amenities. There was a structured government. There were bustling markets and a large ampitheater for plays and shows. Water pipe systems and running water indoors were very advanced parts of life in ancient Pompeii. People were mostly polytheistic, meaning they worshipped different gods and goddesses. Also, art was stimulating at the time. Pompeii had beautiful frescoes, which are a type of painting.
