Why do you think there are so many erythrocytes then leukocytes?

Additionally, erythrocytes have a lifespan of about 120 days and are continually produced in the bone marrow, whereas leukocytes are produced in smaller quantities as needed for immune response and have shorter lifespans. This balance ensures efficient oxygen delivery while maintaining an effective immune system.
