As of the 2008 Games in Beijing, 17 South Korean athletes have won multiple gold medals, the most being four won by Chun Lee-Kyung and Kim Soo-Nyung: 4 - 1) Chun Lee-Kyung - four gold medals in speed skating, two at the 1994 Winter Games in Lillehammer and two at the 1998 Winter Games in Nagano.

2) Kim Soo-Nyung - four gold medals in archery, two at the 1988 Summer Games in Seoul, one at the 1992 Summer Games in Barcelona, and one at the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney.
