What does an oasis have?

An oasis can occasionally be found in a (hot) desert. This is where ground water, normally from an aquifer rises very close to ground level, or in some cases may be higher than the ground level and forms a pool.

The actual physical landscape may vary from oasis to oasis, but they are normally characterized by more lush plant grow and higher densities of animal life.
