What countries are north south east and west of the US?

Alaska, including the Aleutian Islands, has both the northernmost and westernmost points of the US, and since some of its territory crosses the 180th meridian (the International Date Line), it is also technically the easternmost state. Hawaii is the closest of the 50 states to the equator, so it is the southernmost. (see link)
