The common term translated as 'hell' in the English is from the Hebrew 'Sheol' or the Greek 'Hades' with both simply meaning 'grave or pit.' All humankind then, will go to 'hell' when they die. Even Jesus spent 3 full days and nights in hell.

The Bible speaks of a Judgement process where each and every human being is called or awakened to stand before Jesus to review their lives and be given their first real chance to repent and prove themselves worthy of the gift of eternal life. For all who do, they become spiritual sons and daughters in the God Family on Earth.

For those incorrigibly unrepentant or those who once had been called as a firstfruit and reneged upon that blessing, these face the 2nd Death in the Lake of Fire - physical bodies will burn into ashes. Only Satan and his demons, as spirits, will face eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire (their hell).

Current teachings about humans facing eternal damnation are drawn out of literary works like 'Dante's Inferno' and are not scriptural.
