What do you do when you are surrounded by a bunch of idiots?

Join them or leave them.

Really, you need to come to terms with how you and your job fit within the company and do your job as well as you can. Otherwise, your perception that everyone else is an idiot is going to interfere with your ability to work with the others and get things done. No one likes to work with or for someone who "greater than thou." The classiest and the best people around are those who can manage to get the best out of everyone they come into contact with. That means, when someone does something right, you notice and say something warm to them. You encourage them. As much as you want them to do things your way, you have to have patience while they do the work...it is like the Boy Scout who helped the old lady across the street, even though she didn't want to! If they ask, give them good, concise information (without a critique) as to how it can be done.
