LITERAL MEANING:
EQUALITY:The quality of being the same in quantity, measure, value or status
JUSTICE : The quality of being just or fair
- Equality assumes everyone is the same, has the same abilities/talents, and the same history.
- Justice doesn't. Justice is about making appropriations towards fairness even in light of past inequality
- In giving man two legs and the sheep four, there is an inequality but no injustice. This suits man the best and that the sheep
- The actions of God in this universe take place based not on equality but on the principles of justice. If there were absolute equality amongst people, could we, before all, talk about the notions of mother, father and child? If all the people were equal in all respects, there would be no social life anymore.
- If the lightning occurs, this is because the electric charges of clouds are not the same.
- Let us think about our souls and bodies. If there were absolute equality, which one would dominate the other?
- Another example could be that a person is judging all the animals ,there are cats , fishes , sparrows , bears ,cats and many more.now he decides to test them in a situation and obtain the best and he asks them all to climb a tree cats and others will do it easily but fishes and dogs won't be able to climb the tree. there is equality but no justice
- -similarly there are 3 boys on one side of a fence and they want to see the game on the other side.so they are each give 3 planks each to step on.this is equality.the one who is extremely tall doesnot need any plank , the second one needs just 2 and the third needs 7 .now if we divide the planks accordingly so that each can see that is justice.
