Honestly, I wouldn't have so much hope about this person. The best thing to do though is be sure to get to know him a bit more, know his inner "soul", and be there for him when he needs it. You should never rush it, especially since he's in love with someone else! You're going to have to have patience, and be there for him when he needs him.
