How did carter find the tomb?

Well, he and his buddy (I'm sorry i don't remember his name) were looking for an undiscovered king, but by that time every tomb was found but Tutankhamen's due to grave robbers when tut was alive in the valley of the kings. (should have had a different name, right?)Now, they were looking and looking, but when his buddy wanted to give up carter said to wait a little bit, one of the people with a pickax struck something hard, stairs.So they dug until the whole stairs were revealed. Inside held old , charriots, etc.There was a "curse" around that time because (2?) weeks later carter died. Deaths led after that but carter died from a cut that he got from shaving and since its hot there the nerves in his body broke down and couldn't fight off the cold.
