In terms of paper analysis, PIGSAC is the six components of the rhetorical situation. P stands for "Persona". With this, the audience can get a distinct character in relation to the subject. The persona is made up of 1) tone 2) diction 3) logic. I stands for "Intention," so basically, what is the intention of the writer? It is good to put this as an infinitive. G stands for "Genre," is it a speech, an essay, etc. S is the "Subject," meaning what is the piece about. It is good to make the subject open to allow for different perspectives. A is "Audience," who was the piece intended for? Lastly, C is "Context." What is the context of the piece/situation. What was happening in the world, community, etc.
