Why would a praying mantis land on you?

It would only do it accidentally. It has no interest in you, and it won't bite you. Mantises are carnivores, meaning they eat flesh, but only other insects, small lizards and snakes and tiny birds like humming birds, if they can catch them.

Let it walk around you for a bit then let it move onto a bush or a tree.
