There is a farm truck exemption, but some conditions must be met.

  • It must be registered as a farm vehicle, and not a commercial vehicle.
  • It must be used solely and exclusively for the purposes of that farm, and never for hire as a third party.
  • It must be operated within a 150 road mile/100 air mile radius of the farm.
  • It must be operated by the farmer, immediate family members of the farmer, or direct (W2) employees of the farmer.
