What does seeing hellhounds mean?

Dreaming about hell hounds only means that you have been reading or viewing any of a wide variety of mythology or fantasy literature and films that feature supernatural canine creatures. The possibilities range from Dante's Inferno to Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles to Harry Potter.

> In mythology and fantasy fiction, the hell hounds represent the approach of death, and because everyone must die eventually, their forecasts are 100% accurate. But your particular dream does not mean that your actual death will arrive any time soon. Instead, your subconscious mind may be aware of the inescapable responsibility for some action of your own. The hell hounds represent your own uneasy conscience and realization that, like all other humans, you will be held accountable for your behavior.
