I know when I was going tanning the lady who worked there was pregnant and she was tanning. She told me no because the tan only does the first layer of skin.
Im going to add on here... because the tanning lady is absolutely mistaken. ANYTHING that happens to your body has an affect on your baby. And it also depends on what type of artificial lighting it is.
Look at it this way, your body is literally losing moisture in the bed. You become hot and your skin is having a burn reaction. That is how you tan. Fans, lotions and water are all tools you use while in there to help your comfort during the process but the process is still happening just the same. Your body then develops chemicals that act as agents to try and save itself. And these chemicals are in your blood stream which is your baby's lifeline. You change that and your baby's changed too.
