There are some other things that should be avoided like yard waste (grass clippings, leaves ect.) yard wastes and other organics can be composted and used for fertilizer instead of taking up space in landfills also your recyclables shouldn't be thrown away those can be recycled into new items instead of taking thousands of years to decompose in landfills
