What is the advantage of a posidrive screw over a slot headed screw?

A posidrive screw stays centered over the driving tool. On Slotted head screws, the screwdriver can slip easily out of the groove. A very nice kind of screw is the "TORX" head screw. With the proper torx bit, they cannot slip or strip easily while screwing them into wood or metal.
