Who invented drip paintings?

Drip painting is most famously associated with American artist Jackson Pollock, who developed this technique in the late 1940s. Pollock's method involved dripping or pouring paint onto a canvas placed on the ground, allowing for a spontaneous and dynamic expression of movement.
