Why is carbon renewable?

Carbon itself is not a renewable resource; rather, it is a fundamental element that cycles through various forms in nature. Carbon is continuously recycled through processes like photosynthesis, respiration, and decomposition, forming what is known as the carbon cycle. In this cycle, carbon dioxide is absorbed by plants, which convert it into organic matter, and when these organisms decompose or are consumed, the carbon is released back into the atmosphere or soil. However, the sources of carbon, such as fossil fuels, are finite and not renewable.
