Can animals see ghosts

I would think so . The Bible in Numbers 22:22-33 tells us that Balaam's donkey saw the Angel of the Lord while balaam did not till God opened his eyes later. Animals lived in a different realm and as such there is a possibility that they could see things we could not. There are documented evidences that animals, birds and fishes could sense the advent of earthquakes and natural disasters way before it happened. We often hear dogs howling at night and might it not be that they saw some "spirits" ?
