''What continent is Sierra Madre located on''?

The Sierra Madre mountains are in North America, with two different ranges bearing that name. One is the Sierra Madres (California) which are located in Santa Barbara County and the second is the Sierra Madres Occidental which runs from Tucson Arizona southward across the length of Mexico.
