1995 GMC Truck engine idles great when you give it gas a little past idle it sputters and wants to stall but catches its self took plugs out that had only 231 miles and they were black?

Have your O2 sensors checked. The sensors sense the air to fuel ratio and send a signal to the computer on how rich or lean to run your engine. If your plugs are that bad you may need new 02 snesors as well. They are located screwed into the exhaust manifold usually before the catalytic converter, have a wire coming out of them.
