How did religion affect the daily lives of the people in their civilization?

Most people know that there is a difference between ''religion '' and ''spirituality''. Religion has been a so-called excuse for so many of the most depraved and unspeakable acts of monstrosities ever. During those days of so long ago some people used religion as an excuse for murder in order to gain, and or steal some poor farmers land. Thousands were burnt alive . Often whole families - men, woman, and small children who were all tied up together and set aflame, and the screams of men , woman, and children being burned alive together.

In all cases none of these people were heretics , but were murdered in the most horrible way you can imagine -- all for their land and possessions!

Even today the greater bulk of human beings have not even so much as developed a mental body, and ,- as a result , will believe anything or anyone who says this or that. It is a sick reality indeed to be apart of the human race knowing such sicko's are still around.
