Why is Sara Sidle on CSI and not with Grissom in Costa Rica?

Sara Sidle left Las Vegas to be with Grissom in Costa Rica because she felt it was time for a new chapter in her life and to prioritize her personal happiness. She returned to Las Vegas and joined the CSI team again due to her passion for forensic science and solving crimes.
