Impact of science and technology to the world?

Science and Technology are both used in this world a great deal. It's to the point where we are to dependent on technology, that if it was taken away, we would no be able to exist in a world where everything was done by hand as it was so long ago. It's as one who does drugs goes into withdrawal, you cannot just take away their substance and be assured that they will be alright, the symptoms of withdrawal will cause their life to slip away, and eventually, to die.

Technology can destroy us, and I do see it happening this very moment. It destroys us by how much we use it, how it effects the government, how daily tasks become the tasks of a machine or how the entire thinking process rests on the data base of a computer.
