What is the difference between Flatbed scanner and flatbed scanner?

Hand-held scanners are used for

entering text and images that are

less than a page wide. The scanner is

held in the hand and passed over the

document. Hand-held scanners are

adequate for small pictures and

photos but are difficult for entire

pages. Software is used to join

scanned items to make a full page.
