The helmet should fit snugly on the head and not move or fall off if the head is tilted or bent a bit forward or backward. It should not be too tight, either, as that is uncomfortable. Helmet producers provide helmets in several sizes. Let knowledgeable people in the store help you select a helmet if you are a bit unsure about the fit. You can also prepare in advance and wrap a measuring tape around your head approximately half an inch above the eyebrows. Take this measure two or three times to be sure. A small motorcycle helmet would fit a 21.65-220.05 inches or 55-56 cm head size. A medium sized helmet would fit a head circumference of 22.44-22.83 inches. Large size is 23.23-23.62 inches or 59-60 cm.
