Why cactus found in North America?

While cacti can be found in the deserts of North and South America, it is best to not remove them from the desert. In some states, such as Arizona, it is illegal. It is best to leave cacti alone. Many nurseries and garden centers sell a variety of cacti which have been grown from seed. They are also available on the internet.
