How do you identify avian pox?

Avian pox is identified by observing lesions on the skin and mucous membranes of infected birds. Common signs include raised, wart-like growths, particularly on unfeathered areas such as the face, legs, and feet. In some cases, lesions may also appear in the mouth and respiratory tract, leading to difficulty breathing or swallowing. Diagnosis can be confirmed through laboratory tests, including PCR or virus isolation.
