How do you change gearlever gaitor on 1995 astra Mk3?

Grab hold of the gaitor at the bottom towards the front. Pull upwards and backwards. it should pull out of the centre console with very little force (Unless a previous owner has broken the clips and glued it in).

Once the bottom of the gaitor is released pull it all the way up the gear lever and use a pair of good scissors to cut the plastic tie holding the hole in the top closed. With the clip cut the hole in the top is large enough to pass over the gear knob.
