Why is it better to have a higher percentage of body fat when playing water polo?

fat has more oil and therefore floats better than muscle allowing them to float around better in playing because alot of the time they are just wading guarding or blocking their opponents. Also because they are blocking the ball they need to take up more space. That is just my guess. Think of football linemen.
