Why was sport invented?

It was a way of people to test themselves and test themselves against others. People are naturally competitive. It is also a way of rivals competing against each other in a fair and regulated way, rather than fighting. They play out their natural rivalries through sport rather than war. Over history all sorts of sports have evolved and now there are all sorts of sports around the world.
