Christopher Columbus had three ships on his first voyage in 1492: the Niña, the Pinta, and the Santa María. These vessels set sail from Spain in search of a westward route to Asia but instead reached the Americas. The Santa María was the largest and served as the flagship, while the Niña and Pinta were smaller caravels. Their journey marked the beginning of European exploration and colonization in the New World.
