Heat a dry skillet (without oil) over a medium to high heat. Put in the nuts and stir them (I use a wooden spoon). Do not leave them alone for a second or you risk burning them. Keep stirring to expose all sides of the nuts to the heat, until they are evenly and lightly roasted (slightly browned). Take them off the heat right away--I spread them on a plate to cool so they won't continue to be roasted by the hot pan.
